Teaching Assistant (1:1 with KS1 student)
Grade 5, point 14 - 17 (£8.70 - £9.21 per hour) Term time only, 27.5 hrs per week – temporary in the first instance
We require a flexible teaching assistant to work on a one-to-one basis with a KS1 student with complex, physical and cognitive needs.
He/she needs to be able to work both with the class teacher to support progress targets identified in an Education Health Care Plan plus Health professionals to deliver specific interventions to support progress.
Experience with supporting children with complex needs and / or the willingness to engage in training is essential.

Code of Practice on the English Language requirement for Public Sector Workers
From 1 October 2016 there is a statutory duty to ensure that each person in a customer-facing role speaks fluent English. This is in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016. The Code states that "Members of staff who, as a regular and intrinsic part of their role, are required to speak to members of the public in English or Welsh if they are considered to be working in a customer-facing role."
This is relevant to but not limited to the following types of job roles; Teaching and Teaching Assistant roles, administrative and receptionist posts.
