Administrative Assistant—30 hours per week, term time only
Grade 4 (£8.81 per hour)
We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and flexible person to work in our busy office. The successful applicant will be highly organised and methodical, show meticulous attention to detail and possess the ability to work under pressure. Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner are essential together with respect for the confidential nature of the work.
The positions are fixed term in the first instance

Teaching Assistant—30 hours per week, term time only

Grade 4 to 5 (£8.81 to £9.16 per hour) depending on experience

 This job is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join an ‘all through’ team making a real difference to our students.

The role will require you working with teaching staff in order to provide pupils with the level and type of support needed. This could be individuals or groups of pupils during independent and/or group work, which includes challenging the more-able and supporting the less able. You may be asked to prepare materials, resources and equipment for lessons, particularly in PE, Technology or English.

The position will involve liaising and working with staff, students and parents across our all through school.

Code of Practice on the English Language requirement for Public Sector Workers. From 1 October 2016 there is a statutory duty to ensure that each person in a customer-facing role speaks fluent English. This is in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016. The Code states that "Members of staff who, as a regular and intrinsic part of their role, are required to speak to members of the public in English or Welsh if they are considered to be working in a customer-facing role."

This is relevant to but not limited to the following types of job roles; Teaching and Teaching Assistant roles, administrative and receptionist posts.

The ability to communicate at ease with stakeholders and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
