Excitement filled the air as Prince Edward visited OsNosh, the inspiring community kitchen and café at The Centre in Oswestry. OsNosh transforms surplus food into delicious, nutritious ‘pay as you feel’ meals, ensuring no good food goes to waste.
To mark the occasion, 50 dedicated volunteers, including supporters from local organisations and students from St Martins School, gathered for a special buffet lunch prepared by OsNosh founder Ben Wilson.
“With help from our incredible volunteers and students, we’ve taken surplus food collected this week and turned it into a global feast fit for a Prince,” said Ben.
OsNosh has built a strong partnership with St Martins School and the St Martins Unlimited Enterprise team, collaborating on various initiatives such as cooking masterclasses, educational visits to local organisations, and hands-on experience in their kitchen. This ongoing collaboration continues to inspire and empower students while strengthening community ties.
Hannah Weaver assistant head said “St Martins School students had a truly memorable experience meeting HRH, and I was delighted to support OsNosh during this special visit. The students were a credit to the school, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration with OsNosh in the future."
